Alpern Rosenthal debuts disaster recovery service

Local accounting firm Alpern, Rosenthal & Co. is launching a new service in the wake of Sept. 11.
It will offer Information Technology Disaster Recovery Assessments to clients concerned about network security and their ability to respond to catastrophes.
As part of the service, Alpern's IT professionals interview a client's management to prepare a list of recommendations. Such recommendations can range from response to recovery and are intended to help protect a company's investment and to minimize the consequences of any disaster.
Based Downtown, Alpern is one of the city's largest local independent CPA firms. It employs a staff of more than 170 people, offering accounting, audit, tax and computer and management consulting services.
